Daniel and the Lion’s Den

📖 Scripture:

🌟 “My God sent His angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions.” — Daniel 6:22

🌙 Bedtime Story:

Daniel loved God with all his heart. Every day, he prayed to God and obeyed His commands. But some jealous men didn’t like Daniel, so they tricked the king into making a new rule: No one could pray to God anymore—only to the king!

Daniel had a choice. Would he stop praying? Or would he trust God and pray anyway?

Even though he knew he could get in trouble, Daniel knelt by his window and prayed—just like he always did.

The jealous men saw him and told the king. The king didn’t want to punish Daniel, but the law couldn’t be changed. Daniel was thrown into a den full of hungry lions!

🦁 The Night in the Den

The king couldn’t sleep that night. He worried about Daniel. But deep inside the dark den, Daniel was safe.

Why?

Because God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths! The big, powerful lions couldn’t hurt him.

The next morning, the king ran to the den and called out, “Daniel, was your God able to save you?”

And Daniel answered, “Yes! My God sent His angel to protect me.”

The king was so happy that he made a new rule: Everyone must respect the God of Daniel, because He is the true, living God!

💭 Reflection:

Just like Daniel, we might face scary situations where doing the right thing feels hard. But God is always with us. When we trust Him, He can shut the mouths of our fears, just like He did with the lions.

🛏️ Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for always protecting me, just like You protected Daniel. Help me to be brave and trust You, even when I feel scared. I know You are always with me. Amen.
