📖 The Lord is My Light

🌟 Scripture: “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1

🌙 Bedtime Story: Emma and the Nightlight

Emma loved bedtime, but there was one thing she didn’t like—the dark. When the lights went out, the shadows in her room looked big and scary.

One night, Emma whispered, “Mom, can you leave the nightlight on?”

Her mom smiled and plugged in the little star-shaped nightlight. “Did you know that just like this light helps you see in the dark, God is our light too?” she said.

Emma listened as her mom read her Psalm 27:1: “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?”

“That means I don’t have to be afraid, because God is always with me, lighting my way!” Emma said.

That night, as Emma closed her eyes, she didn’t feel scared anymore. She knew that God’s light was always shining for her.

💭 Reflection:

Just like a nightlight chases away the darkness, God’s light guides us and helps us feel safe. When we feel afraid, we can trust in Him to be with us!

🛏️ Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for being my light. When I feel afraid, help me remember that You are always with me, shining Your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🔗 Takeaway:

God’s light is always shining! With Him, we don’t have to be afraid.
