📖 A Humble Heart

🌟 Scripture: “Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.” — Proverbs 18:12 (NIV)

🔎 Devotional Thought:

Pride has a way of tricking us into thinking we don’t need help—from others or even from God. But the Bible tells us that pride leads to a downfall, while humility leads to honor.

Think about a time when you thought you had everything under control, only to realize later that you needed guidance. Maybe you resisted asking for help because of pride, but once you humbled yourself, things fell into place.

Even Jesus, the Son of God, humbled Himself—He didn’t demand a throne, but instead served others and even washed His disciples’ feet. If Jesus chose humility, shouldn’t we?

🙋‍♂️ Personal Reflection:

  • Do I struggle with pride in certain areas of my life?
  • How can I practice humility in my daily interactions?
  • Am I trusting God’s timing for honor instead of seeking recognition from others?

🙏 Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help me to walk in humility and trust Your plan. Keep me from pride, and remind me that true honor comes from serving others and putting You first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
