📖 God Fills Me with Courage

🌟 Scripture: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” — Psalm 56:3

🌙 Bedtime Story: Tommy and the Tall Slide

Tommy stood at the bottom of the biggest slide in the park. His older brother, Jake, had already gone down three times, laughing each time. But Tommy’s legs felt wobbly just looking at it.

“I don’t think I can do it,” Tommy whispered, gripping the ladder tightly.

Jake walked up to him and smiled. “Remember what Dad always says? ‘When we’re afraid, we trust in God!’ You don’t have to be afraid, Tommy. You can pray and ask God for courage.”

Tommy took a deep breath. “God, please help me be brave.”

Step by step, he climbed the ladder. When he reached the top, his heart was pounding, but he felt peaceful inside. He closed his eyes for a second, then pushed off.

Whoosh!

The wind rushed past him as he zoomed down the slide, and before he knew it—he was at the bottom, laughing!

“I did it!” Tommy cheered. “God helped me be brave!”

💭 Reflection:

Sometimes, things feel scary—whether it’s trying something new, speaking in front of others, or sleeping in the dark. But just like Tommy, we can ask God for courage. When we trust Him, we don’t have to be afraid!

🛏️ Prayer:

Dear God, thank You for always being with me. When I feel scared, help me to trust You and remember that You give me courage. I know I am never alone because You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is bigger than any fear. When you’re scared, pray and trust Him—He will fill you with courage!
